Southfields Farm is a fantastic place to visit, located just outside the village of Balsall Common near Kenilworth in Warwickshire. It is a working farm which produces chickens for use within the poultry industry throughout the UK. The farm

is managed by Bob and Beverley Clayton-Gale-Smith, with the poultry side of the business going on around the farm pretty much unseen to the public.

At the forefront of the farm as you pull into the car park is the shopping experience, a collection of 8 retail units set into the farm buildings, and owned and operated by individual businesses. Just behind the retail units is where Beverley's passion lies - her eclectic collection of animals. She has goats, sheep, chickens, geese, horses, guinea pigs, and a large collection of dogs, which all keep her busy.

On top of her animal husbandry, Beverley also owns and runs French Country Chic, one of the retail units, offering fine furniture, gifts, tableware, and other home furnishings. If there's a piece of furniture you want but can't find just ask Beverley - she may be able to find it for you with her extensive network of contacts within the industry.

Her husband Bob runs the poultry side of the farm, as well as operating the farm shop and it's associated fruit & veg stall which can be seen in Balsall Common village centre on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Bob also runs Woodhouse Sheds, which offers made to order sheds, summerhouses and garden buildings, with free delivery and free erection all being part of the service.

Complimenting Mary Mary but in a seperate unit is The Potting Shed, owned and run by Della and offering potted plants, shrubs, and hanging baskets. If you can't find a hanging basket exactly to your taste why not order one in your own colour pallette?

Grace Interiors is owned and operated by Tracey and Steve, and offers curtains, cushions, re-upholstery, and furniture restoration.
